Basic Training in Management of Spasticity with Botulinum Toxin & Ultrasound

Target Group

Residents, physiotherapists, or equivalent, and specialists with limited or no experience in botulinum treatment for spasticity. Relevant specialties include rehabilitation medicine, neurology, geriatrics, orthopedics, and hand surgery.

Purpose

Gain knowledge and practical experience to perform assessment and treatment of patients with basic spasticity patterns using ultrasound-guided techniques.

Learning Objectives

Improve knowledge in assessment of basic spastic patterns and understand the key components of the condition.

Understand the use of botulinumtoxin as part of a patient-centered multidisciplinary approach.

– Acquire fundemental skills in ultrasound-guided injection technique
